Conference Legal Language

Cancellation Policy

Conference registration fees will be charged when you initially register for the Conference. All cancellations MUST be submitted in writing. Cancellations received more than 30 days prior to the conference, will incur a $50.00 administrative fee. Cancellations received 14 to 30 days prior to the conference will be refunded at 50% of the amount paid. No refunds will be given for cancellations received within 14 days of the conference. Eligible refunds will be processed within 60 days of receipt of written notice of cancellation.

If Dakota is prevented from carrying out its obligations as it pertains to the Conference you registered for as a result of any cause beyond its control, or such Conference cannot be held or does not occur due to acts of God, strikes, labor disputes, government requisitions, restrictions or regulations on travel, hotel or facility availability, commodities or supplies, war or apparent act of war, terrorism, disaster, civil disorder, epidemic or pandemic, curtailment or restriction on transportation facilities, or any other comparable calamity, casualty or condition (collectively a “Force Majeure”) Dakota will refund the cost of registration. However, Dakota does not assume responsibility for any additional costs, charges, or expenses; to include, charges made for travel and lodging. Refunds will be processed within 60 days of notification.

Photography/Video Consent

Dakota Funds Group (DAKOTA) reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored by DAKOTA, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. DAKOTA may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by DAKOTA including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc.

A person attending a DAKOTA event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution contact DAKOTA at 925 W. Lancaster Ave. Suite 220, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010, in writing of his/her intentions and include a photograph. DAKOTA will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.

By participating in a DAKOTA event or by failing to notify DAKOTA, in writing, your desire to not have your photograph used by DAKOTA, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify DAKOTA from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.

Attendee Information Sharing

Dakota may share attendee information, including but not limited to name, title, company, and contact details, with conference sponsors for the purpose of facilitating sponsor communications and marketing activities related to the conference. Attendees who wish to opt out of having their information shared with sponsors must notify Dakota in writing at 925 W. Lancaster Ave. Suite 220, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010, or by contacting Dakota directly, prior to the conference. Opt-out requests received after attendee information has already been distributed to sponsors cannot be reversed, and Dakota assumes no responsibility for sponsor communications sent prior to receipt of an opt-out request.
