Editorial Director
Matt Hirst joined Dakota in August 2024 as the Editorial Director. In this role, he leads Dakota's News function, overseeing operations, personnel, editorial strategy, and day-to-day coverage. Matt brings over 20 years of experience across various roles in editorial, product management, marketing, business development, and operations. His previous positions include serving as General Manager for Education Products at CFA Institute, as well as roles at Silverchair Information Systems and SNL Financial (now part of S&P Global).
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and History from the College of William & Mary.
He lives in Charlottesville, VA, with his wife, two children, two dogs, and two cats.
