Khizar Hayat

Chief Data Officer

Khizar Hayat is the Chief Data Officer at Dakota, leading the company’s efforts to deliver highly differentiated data to clients worldwide. In this role, he is responsible for driving scalability, accelerating new product development, and leading customer analytics. Khizar joined Dakota in March 2025.

Prior to Dakota, Khizar was Vice President of Data Management and Strategy at Octus, where he played a key role in transforming Octus from an editorial business to an editorial-plus-data business. Before that, he held various global leadership roles at S&P Global, driving transformation in the order-to-cash program, leading the Integration Management Office to combine S&P Global and IHS Markit, and overseeing global data operations. Before joining S&P, Khizar held several leadership roles at SNL Financial, where he established a business operations center and built data management capabilities to drive growth and operational efficiencies.

Khizar holds an MBA from a prestigious university in Pakistan.

Outside of work, he enjoys watching his kids play soccer and staying active at the gym.
