xAI closed an upsized $20 billion Series E financing, surpassing its original target as it continues to scale AI infrastructure, frontier models, and consumer-facing products. The round drew a mix of institutional and strategic investors, underscoring strong capital support for xAI’s compute-heavy approach and long-term mission.
OneStream has agreed to be acquired by Hg in an all-cash transaction valuing the enterprise finance software provider at approximately $6.4 billion, with Hg becoming the majority shareholder alongside minority investments from General Atlantic and Tidemark. The deal, which offers a 31% premium to the prior closing price, positions OneStream to accelerate AI-driven innovation and scale its platform for the Office of the CFO as a private company.
Quantum Capital Group has agreed to sell approximately 90% of Cogentrix Energy’s modern natural gas generation portfolio to Vistra for roughly $4.7 billion, marking a major transaction in U.S. power infrastructure. The deal transfers about 5.5 GW of gas-fired capacity across PJM, ISO New England, and ERCOT to Vistra, while positioning Quantum to retain a minority interest and participate in Vistra’s long-term value creation.
GATX Corporation, in partnership with Brookfield Infrastructure, has completed the approximately $4.2 billion acquisition of Wells Fargo’s rail operating lease portfolio, adding roughly 101,000 railcars and materially expanding GATX’s North American fleet. The transaction strengthens GATX’s scale and diversification in rail leasing while positioning the joint venture for long-term growth and enhanced customer service.
AB InBev has exercised its option to reacquire the 49.9% minority stake in its U.S. based metal container plants from an Apollo-led investor consortium for approximately $3 billion. The transaction brings full ownership of a strategically important manufacturing asset back in-house and is expected to be EPS accretive in the first year following closing.
Minto Apartment REIT has agreed to be taken private by affiliates of Crestpoint Real Estate Investments and Minto Group in an all-cash transaction valuing the portfolio at approximately $2.3 billion, including debt. The deal offers unitholders a 32% premium to the prior closing price and reflects a strategic move to pursue long-term growth outside public market constraints.
DayOne Data Centers has raised over $2.0 billion in a Series C equity financing led by Coatue, marking one of the largest private capital raises in the data center sector. The funding will support the hyperscale platform’s rapid expansion across Europe and Asia-Pacific, reinforcing its position as a global provider of AI-ready digital infrastructure.
KKR and Oak Hill Capital have committed nearly $2 billion of new equity to Global Technical Realty, a European built-to-suit data center platform focused on hyperscale, cloud, and AI-driven infrastructure. The investment will fund GTR’s expanding development pipeline and support its continued expansion across high-growth European markets as demand for next-generation data center capacity accelerates.
Jacobs has agreed to acquire the remaining employee-held stake in PA Consulting for approximately £1.2 billion, valuing the innovation and transformation consultancy at about £3.05 billion. The transaction brings PA fully into Jacobs’ platform, strengthening its end-to-end advisory and delivery capabilities across infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and digital transformation.
QXO has secured a $1.2 billion convertible preferred equity investment led by Apollo Global Management to enhance its balance sheet and fund future acquisitions. The financing provides flexible, long-term capital to support QXO’s acquisition-driven growth strategy in the building products distribution sector.
