1. MasOrange - Strategic Acquisition
Orange has reached a non-binding agreement with Lorca to acquire the remaining 50% stake in MasOrange for €4.25 billion in cash, giving it full ownership of Spain’s leading telecom operator. The deal, expected to be finalized by mid-2026 pending regulatory approvals, strengthens Orange’s position in its second-largest European market and supports its “Lead the Future” strategic plan with a long-term commitment to growth in Spain.
26North Partners has led a $700 million equity investment in NEP Group, the global leader in live sports and entertainment production technology, alongside existing sponsor Carlyle, which remains NEP’s largest shareholder. The funding will accelerate NEP’s global expansion and innovation across live sports, broadcast, and event production, with 26North Founder Josh Harris leveraging his extensive sports and entertainment network to support the company’s next phase of growth.
Kuku FM, an Indian audio and video content platform, has raised $85 million in Series D funding led by Granite Asia (formerly GGV Capital), with participation from Vertex Growth Fund, Krafton, IFC, Paramark, Tribe Capital India, and Bitkraft. The funding—comprising both primary and secondary components—will be used to scale content creation, expand its creator base, and strengthen platform technology, as the company continues its mission to reach more listeners across India and beyond.
4. OLX Kazakhstan - Strategic Acquisition
Beeline Kazakhstan, a subsidiary of VEON Ltd. (Nasdaq: VEON), has agreed to acquire 100% of OLX Kazakhstan from OLX Group for $75 million, marking a major expansion of VEON’s digital services portfolio. The deal will integrate Kazakhstan’s leading online classifieds platform, which serves over 10 million monthly active users, into Beeline’s ecosystem—enhancing its digital operator strategy and creating new cross-platform growth opportunities across e-commerce, real estate, and mobility services.
Astra Nova has raised $48.3 million to accelerate its mission of building AI-powered Web3 entertainment tools, including $41.6 million from a recent strategic round led by Outlier Ventures, Middle Eastern institutional investors, and backers linked to Shiba Inu. The funding will support the company’s no-code TokenPlay AI platform, designed to help over 250,000 creators build decentralized entertainment experiences, and expand its global ecosystem, which now boasts more than 500,000 users.
Cypher Games, a mobile interactive entertainment studio, has raised $30 million in Series A funding led by The Raine Group and Play Ventures, with participation from MIT, E2VC, and Big Bets, alongside existing investors including the founders of Discord, King, and Tripledot. The oversubscribed round will fuel the upcoming U.S. launch of Cypher’s debut title, Match Squad—a hybrid match-3 and dice-based game—and support talent expansion and development of the company’s second game as it aims to redefine the casual mobile gaming experience.
7. Electric Entertainment - Minority
Electric Entertainment, the Los Angeles-based studio behind Leverage, The Librarians, and The Ark, has received a $20 million investment from Content Partners Capital (CPC) to support its continued growth and content expansion. The partnership, announced during Electric’s 25th anniversary at Mipcom, will provide strategic capital to fuel new and existing TV franchises as CPC accelerates its investment strategy across entertainment and content-driven businesses.
Mawingu, a Kenyan internet service provider focused on closing the digital divide, has raised $20 million in Series C funding led by Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Managers to accelerate affordable internet access across East Africa. The capital will fuel network expansion in Kenya and support Mawingu’s goal of connecting one million East Africans by 2028, following its acquisition of Tanzanian ISP Habari and continued growth through solar-powered, community-centric connectivity solutions.
Riff, an Oslo-based platform enabling companies to build and launch AI-powered business applications, has raised $16 million in Series A funding led by Northzone, bringing total funding to $21 million. The capital will support global expansion as Riff helps organizations deploy secure, data-integrated AI apps using proven templates and infrastructure—driving real business impact across sectors like financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing.
10. Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings’ Business in Brazil - Asset Purchase
Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings has completed the sale of its Brazil business to Publibanca Brasil S.A., an affiliate of Eletromidia S.A., for approximately US$15 million, marking the company’s full exit from Latin America. The divestiture supports Clear Channel’s strategy to simplify operations, strengthen liquidity, and focus on its core U.S. Americas and Airports businesses while using proceeds to reduce debt.
