Floyd Simpson shares how he evaluates asset managers, approaches due diligence meetings, and considers asset allocation decisions. He discusses his experience in working in Emerging Manager Research, Multi-Asset Strategy Solutions, and an Outsourced CIO business model with PFM Asset Management.
In his current role he works with institutional clients to develop and implement Multi-Asset strategies for their portfolios and is a voting member of the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer Investment Committee which has oversight of $16.7 billion Assets Under Management as of June 30, 2022.
Floyd joined PFM Asset Management in 2019 and was the first external hire for the newly created Multi-Asset Strategies Group. As a director in our OCIO business, he works with clients across the country to develop and implement multi-asset class strategies for their portfolios.
Prior to joining the firm, Floyd worked as an investment officer where he was the associate portfolio manager for the Global and International Equity strategies. His duties included quarterly commentary on the developed markets and investment managers in his purview, monitoring the Global and Developed International Equity strategies, executing due diligence on managers across the G20 and Emerging Market regions, along with contributing intellectual content for ad hoc white papers. His experience includes working with retail and institutional clients to provide analysis and investment solutions.
Floyd serves on the Board of Trustees for A.T. Still University, Boys' Latin of Philadelphia, and is an Executive Board Member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia. He is a former Investment Committee member for the Truman State University Foundation Board.
