eQ Raises €360M Across Three Funds, Plans 2025 Launch of US PE, VC Funds

Finnish asset manager eQ secured €360M (~$375M) in combined capital commitments on the final close of three separate private equity, secondaries, and venture capital funds.

The firm said it raised $227M for its Northern European fund-of-funds eQ PE XVI North; $85M for its secondary vehicle eQ PE SF V; and $54M for its US venture fund eQ VC II. PE North Fund XVI focuses on Northern European lower-middle market buyout funds while PE SF Fund V seeks investments in the secondary market and in continuation vehicles within the same region. Meanwhile, VC Fund II targets early and late-stage venture funds in the US, with TrueBridge Capital Partners serving as eQ’s US-based venture capital partner.

eQ also disclosed that it is planning to launch a new vintage for its US-focused private equity fund series in January 2025, as well as its next venture fund late next year. The upcoming eQ PE XVII US will be the sixth fund in the series in collaboration with Chicago-based private equity firm RCP Advisors, and will exclusively target professional investors.
