Sky Island Capital announced the final close of its second vintage private equity fund with $300M in captured capital commitments, surpassing its original $225M target.
The oversubscribed Sky Island Capital II was supported by new and returning investors, including insurance companies, family offices, and fund of funds. The Dallas-based private equity firm focuses on lower middle-market family-owned businesses in the manufacturing sector, particularly in aerospace and defense, industrial, and consumer production.
Eaton Partners served as exclusive placement agent and Jones Day as legal advisor to Sky Island for the fund.
