Bpifrance's Women-led Investment JV with JPMorgan Nears Launch

Bpifrance's joint venture with JPMorgan Chase that promotes gender parity in the private equity sector has filed with the SEC, signaling the coming opening of its subscription period.

In the filing dated January 28, Fonds Bpifrance Spark said outside investors may participate in the fundraising with a minimum investment of $104.5K. The sale of pooled investment fund interests is planned to last more than a year.

A May 13, 2024, update regarding the joint venture noted that the fund will have a target size in the range of €150M to €200M (~$155.8M to $207.7M). The French public investment bank Bpifrance serves as the fund's manager, with its partner, financial services firm JPMorgan, providing support.

Luxury goods company LVMH, private investment house Ardian, insurance specialist BNP Paribas Cardif, and gaming operator Groupe FDJ have committed to supporting the fund, which will primarily invest in women-led seed, venture capital and growth capital funds.
