A survey by Ortec Finance found that 58% of US pensions saw financial improvements in 2024, but 74% expressed liquidity concerns from private markets exposure. Miami Beach Fire & Police allocated $10M to private real estate, splitting funds between Sabal Strategic Opportunities Fund II ($7M) and Affiliated Housing Impact Fund II ($3M). Chicago Firemen’s hired JP Morgan ($70M core-plus) and Wellington Management ($50M core) for fixed income mandates. Nashville & Davidson County committed $73M across Axiom Asia VII, Centerbridge Capital Partners V, and Pimco Corporate Opportunities IV, reinforcing existing relationships.

Schroders Capital raised £500M (~$632.7M) for the UK’s first Innovation LTAF, targeting AI, fintech, and life sciences. Bonfire Ventures secured $245M for its largest flagship B2B software fund. Afore Capital closed a $185M “pre-seed 2.0” fund, focusing on software startups. Cherryrock Capital raised $172M for its debut VC fund, supporting overlooked founders in fintech and digital health.
