NY Common Commits $1.67B to Alts & Emerging Manager Program

The New York State Common Retirement Fund approved six commitments to alternatives and one emerging manager program totaling $1.67 billion, according to the Fund’s March Monthly Transaction Report.

$500 million was committed to ARGA Investment Management emerging markets equity strategy.

In real estate, $300 million was committed to Blackstone Real Estate Partners Europe VII.

In private credit, $500 million was committed to  ICG Excelsior SCSp.

In venture capital, $150 million was allocated to B Capital Ascent Fund III.

And in real assets, $200 million was allocated to ITE Rail L.P.

These commitments all represent existing relationships for the fund. 

Lastly, $15 million was allocated to the emerging manager program with the commitment to Liftbridge Commercial Fund 3, a closed end, commingled investment vehicle sponsored by Stillwater Asset Management. Stillwater is also an existing relationship for the Fund.
