AXA Investment Managers' alternative investments arm has so far raised over €230M (~$239.9M) for its recently launched private credit fund for wealthy investors, according to a January 27 news release.
AXA IM Alts launched the fund under the European Long-Term Investment Fund 2.0 regulation, marking the first evergreen private credit fund for the alternative investment manager. Currently, the fund is only available to investors in France.
The new fund will provide direct lending services primarily to mid-sized companies in Europe or in a member state of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. It will invest in non-bank loans across various sectors and geographies, with the repayment capacity of borrowers a primary consideration.
AXA IM Alts has €92B (~$95.94B) in AUM, of which €6B (~$6.26B) are in its evergreen private market strategies for wealthy investors. It said the new fund completes its offer across the entire spectrum of asset classes in the private market, including real estate, infrastructure and private equity funds.
