The system will use grid-forming inverter technology for stability and renewable integration. Energy investment activity remains centered on large-scale storage, with strategic financing stacking government grants alongside multi-bank syndication. The project marks another milestone in Australia’s decarbonization push and reinforces battery storage’s role as critical grid infrastructure. The deal also reflects growing institutional appetite for long-duration storage assets integrated with renewable generation pipelines.

Industrials & Materials

Valence Surface Technologies acquired C.I.L. Metal Finishing, marking its 11th acquisition, backed by ATL Partners and BCI. AURELIUS is buying FIAMM Energy Technology from Resonac, while a consortium led by BlueScope Steel is bidding for Whyalla steelworks to create a low-carbon hub.
