A. O. Smith completed its acquisition of Leonard Valve Company from Bessemer Investors, adding a leading provider of water temperature and flow control solutions used in critical institutional and commercial applications. The transaction expands A. O. Smith’s portfolio in digital mixing, thermostatic controls, and hydronic system management, including the Heat-Timer platform, strengthening its position in safety- and efficiency-driven building solutions.
Talen Energy agreed to acquire approximately 2.6 GW of high-quality natural gas generation assets in the PJM market from Energy Capital Partners for $3.45 billion, comprised of $2.55 billion in cash and about $900 million in Talen equity. The transaction expands Talen’s western PJM footprint with efficient baseload and flexible capacity, is expected to be immediately accretive to free cash flow per share by more than 15% annually, and is targeted to close in the second half of 2026.
South Wind Exploration & Production secured more than $1 billion in total equity commitments, with $500 million each from Kayne Anderson and Quantum Capital Group, significantly expanding its capital base. The increased funding positions the company to pursue large-scale U.S. onshore oil and gas acquisitions and execute its acquisition-driven growth strategy.
Cool Company completed its cash merger with a wholly owned subsidiary of EPS Ventures, becoming fully owned by EPS at a price of $9.65 per share. Following the transaction, CoolCo will be delisted from the NYSE and Euronext Growth Oslo and will terminate its public reporting obligations.
Standard Nuclear raised $140 million in Series A funding led by Decisive Point to accelerate the expansion of its advanced TRISO nuclear fuel development and fabrication infrastructure. The financing supports the company’s launch of HALEU fuel production and plans to scale annual TRISO output to more than two metric tons by mid-2026, strengthening the domestic advanced nuclear fuel supply chain.
Ecozen is raising ₹95 crore ($10.7 million) in debt from Momentum Capedge through the issuance of Series E non-convertible debentures to fund near-term capital needs and business growth. The financing marks the company’s third debt raise in the past year, as Ecozen continues to scale rapidly across climate-smart, solar-powered deep-tech solutions.
Enerzolve Smart Technologies raised $5.1 million in a seed funding round co-led by Jungle Ventures and Kae Capital to advance development of its semiconductor-powered smart grid and energy storage solutions. The funding will support IP creation, team expansion, pilot manufacturing, and go-to-market efforts with utilities, DISCOMs, and energy developers across India.
