1. Aligned Data Centers - Secondary Buyout
AIP, MGX, and BlackRock’s Global Infrastructure Partners will acquire full ownership of Aligned Data Centers in a landmark transaction valuing the company at approximately $40 billion, marking AIP’s first major investment to accelerate the buildout of next-generation AI infrastructure. Backed by this powerhouse consortium, Aligned is set to scale its cutting-edge, sustainable data campuses to meet surging demand from hyperscalers and AI innovators across the Americas.
2. OPAP - Strategic Acquisition
Allwyn and OPAP have agreed to a €16 billion all-share business combination, creating the world’s second largest listed lottery and gaming operator and the largest listed lottery company globally. The newly combined company, to be renamed Allwyn and remain listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, will bring together scale, innovation, and a strong European and U.S. presence to drive digital growth and long-term value for shareholders.
3. BASF Coatings - Leverage Buyout
BASF has reached a binding agreement with Carlyle, backed by Qatar Investment Authority, to carve out its automotive coatings and surface treatment businesses in a €7.7 billion deal that will create a new global coatings leader. As part of the transaction, expected to close in Q2 2026, BASF will retain a 40% equity stake in the new entity, underscoring its confidence in the business’s continued growth under Carlyle’s ownership.
4. Hillenbrand - Take-Private / Public-to-Private
Hillenbrand has agreed to be acquired by Lone Star Funds in an all-cash transaction valued at $32.00 per share, representing an enterprise value of approximately $3.8 billion and a 37% premium over its unaffected share price. The deal, expected to close in Q1 2026, will take Hillenbrand private as it continues to scale its industrial processing equipment business across durable plastics, food, and recycling markets.
5. Oaktree Capital Management - Strategic Acquisition
Brookfield will acquire the remaining 26% stake in Oaktree it does not already own for approximately $3 billion, positioning Brookfield to fully integrate one of the world’s premier credit managers and further expand its $1 trillion alternative asset platform. The deal, expected to close in Q1 2026, enhances Brookfield’s presence in the U.S. market and deepens its credit capabilities while maintaining Oaktree’s leadership team and investment strategy.
6. Foley Products - Strategic Acquisition
Commercial Metals Company has announced a $1.84 billion acquisition of Foley Products Company, significantly scaling its precast platform and positioning CMC as the third-largest precast concrete player in the U.S. With a combined footprint across 14 states and strong synergy potential with its pending CP&P acquisition, CMC expects the deal to be accretive to earnings and free cash flow in year one while transforming its financial profile with higher, more stable margins.
7. With Intelligence - Strategic Acquisition
S&P Global has agreed to acquire With Intelligence for $1.8 billion, significantly expanding its private markets data and analytics capabilities and strengthening its offerings across GPs, LPs, and advisors. The deal positions S&P Global as a leading provider of end-to-end intelligence for the fast-growing alternatives space, with access to over 350,000 deals, 70,000 funds, and 30,000 managers and investors.
8. Vitalia Home - Secondary Buyout
StepStone Real Estate and GREYKITE have agreed to recapitalize Vitalia, Spain’s second largest senior care provider, in a landmark €1.5 billion transaction that includes over €500 million in growth capital. The deal will see GREYKITE take on the role of general partner, while Vivaly Investments, Vitalia’s founder, and its senior management team retain minority stakes, reinforcing long-term alignment as the company enters its next phase of expansion.
9. McLarens Global Limited - Recapitalization
Lee Equity Partners has closed a $1.6 billion recapitalization of McLarens Global Limited, reinforcing its long-term partnership with the world’s largest pure-play complex insurance claims service provider. The transaction offers liquidity to existing shareholders and injects significant new capital to fuel McLarens’ continued global expansion and growth strategy.
10. Milione S.p.A - Secondary Buyout
Ardian and Finint Infrastrutture have agreed to acquire Milione Spa, the holding company behind Venice’s Marco Polo Airport and other key Italian airports, in a deal valuing the business at €1.2 billion (€2.1 billion including debt). The partnership aims to drive growth across the North-East Airport System and position Save as a strategic platform for future acquisitions in the European aviation sector.
