TenneT Holding has secured up to €9.5 billion in equity funding for TenneT Germany through a partnership with APG (on behalf of ABP), Singapore’s GIC, and Norges Bank Investment Management. The deal, which values TenneT Germany at €40 billion, will support the expansion of its high-voltage grid and help drive Europe’s energy transition. Following the transaction, TenneT will retain a 54% stake, with the investors collectively holding 46%, strengthening cross-border energy integration and long-term infrastructure resilience.
3. Sempra Infrastructure - Platform
Sempra announced a $10 billion sale of a 45% stake in Sempra Infrastructure Partners to a KKR- and CPP Investments-led consortium, valuing the business at $31.7 billion. The deal strengthens Sempra’s balance sheet, eliminates planned equity issuances for its 2025–2029 capital plan, and sharpens its focus on U.S. regulated utilities. In parallel, Sempra Infrastructure Partners reached a final investment decision on the $12 billion Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 project, securing full equity financing and long-term offtake agreements with ConocoPhillips, EQT, and JERA.
4. OneDigital - Secondary Buyout
OneDigital announced a majority investment from Stone Point Capital and CPP Investments in a deal valuing the firm at over $7 billion. The investment, made through a stake acquisition from existing shareholders including Onex Partners (which remains a significant minority owner), will fuel OneDigital’s growth through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. Celebrating 25 years in business, OneDigital continues to scale its integrated insurance, financial, and workforce solutions platform across five verticals, reinforcing long-term investor confidence in its founder-led leadership and differentiated model.
5. Metsera Inc - Strategic Acquisition
Pfizer has agreed to acquire Metsera, a clinical-stage biopharma focused on next-generation obesity and cardiometabolic therapies, in a deal valued at $4.9 billion upfront with potential milestone payments bringing the total to $7.2 billion. The acquisition adds four differentiated clinical-stage programs—including GLP-1 and amylin candidates—to Pfizer’s pipeline, strengthening its push into obesity treatments. Expected to close in late 2025, the deal leverages Pfizer’s global development and commercialization capabilities to accelerate Metsera’s portfolio toward addressing one of the world’s fastest-growing health challenges.
6. 89bio - Strategic Acquisition
Roche has agreed to acquire 89bio in a deal worth up to $3.5 billion, expanding its portfolio in liver and cardiometabolic diseases. The transaction includes $14.50 per share in cash at closing, valuing 89bio at $2.4 billion upfront, plus up to $6.00 per share in contingent value rights tied to regulatory and commercial milestones. The acquisition brings 89bio’s lead therapy, pegozafermin, into Roche’s pipeline, aiming to transform treatment for MASH and strengthen its cardiovascular, renal, and metabolism franchise.
7. Premier Inc - Take-Private / Public-to-Private
Premier, Inc. has agreed to be acquired by Patient Square Capital in an all-cash deal valuing the company at $28.25 per share, a 23.8% premium to its 60-day average price. The transaction, unanimously approved by Premier’s Board, will take the healthcare improvement company private, providing added financial flexibility to accelerate technology development, supply chain services, and consulting solutions. Expected to close in early 2026, the deal positions Premier to enhance its offerings for health systems and providers while delivering immediate value to shareholders.
8. PrizePicks - Strategic Acquisition
Allwyn has agreed to acquire a 62.3% majority stake in PrizePicks, the largest daily fantasy sports operator in North America, in a deal valuing the company at $2.5 billion upfront with potential to reach $4.15 billion based on performance milestones. The acquisition marks Allwyn’s biggest U.S. investment to date and expands its presence into the fast-growing sports and entertainment market. PrizePicks will continue to operate as a standalone brand, leveraging Allwyn’s scale and resources to accelerate product innovation and fan engagement across more than 45 U.S. jurisdictions.
Saudi fintech Tamara has secured up to $2.4 billion in financing from Goldman Sachs, Citi, and Apollo funds to expand its credit and payments offerings. The Shariah-compliant package refinances and upsizes a prior $500 million facility, providing $1.4 billion initially with an additional $1 billion available over three years. The deal marks one of the largest financing rounds for a Middle Eastern fintech, positioning Tamara for accelerated growth.
10. Grupo Financiero Banamex - Strategic Acquisition
Citi has agreed to sell a 25% equity stake in Banamex to Mexican businessman Fernando Chico Pardo and his family for approximately MXN 42 billion (~USD 2.3 billion), marking a major step in its planned divestiture of the business. Upon closing, Chico Pardo will become Chair of Grupo Financiero Banamex, while Citi continues with its strategy to streamline operations and focus on core businesses. The deal, expected to close in the second half of 2026 pending regulatory approvals, underscores Citi’s confidence in Mexico’s long-term growth and Banamex’s role as a key financial institution.
