San Antonio Fire & Police Commits $45M to Real Assets, Private Credit

The San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund has approved two allocations totalling $45 million to real assets and private credit funds. 

$20 million was allocated to KKR Global Infrastructure Investors V. KKR will focus on investing in funds related to digital infrastructure, power generation/energy transition, transportation/industrial infrastructure, water, and waste. SAFPP has a preexisting relationship with KKR.

Also approved was a $25 million allocation to MGG Structured Solutions Fund II. MGG is targeting companies in the lower middle markets. The fund strategy is seeking to invest in privately sourced and negotiated credit, equity, and hybrid funds. Beginning in 2019, SAFPP and MGG have had an ongoing relationship. 

As of March 31, 2024, SAFPP had a market value of $3.972 billion.
