Texas TRS committed $450M across four funds in private equity and real assets, including $150M to BPEA PE Fund IX and $100M each to CS Bevo I, Gavin Generation Holdings A, and NGP Royalty Partners III. Texas CDRS allocated $125M to early-stage VC, including $75M to Shine Capital III and three Lightspeed Venture Partners funds. Iowa PERS launched an RFP for core/core-plus real estate managers, accepting proposals until April 18. Kern County ERS invested $55M in Beach Point Capital Real Estate Debt ($30M) and Petershill Private Equity Seeding Fund II ($25M). MBTA Retirement Fund committed $15M to alternatives, investing in Hamilton Lane Strategic Opportunities Fund IX and HarbourVest Credit Opportunities Fund III, while redeeming from Morgan Stanley-Eaton Vance for PRIM allocation. Plymouth County Retirement allocated $10M each to PennantPark and Constitution Capital Partners, while considering $10M to EnTrust Global’s Blue Ocean Onshore Fund II and reviewing Eaton Vance EMD.

Americana Partners acquired $2B RIA Boulevard Family Wealth, expanding into Southern California. Apella Wealth acquired $518M Marrella Private Wealth, strengthening its presence in Wyomissing, PA. Janney Montgomery Scott added Duggan Faires Investment Partners from Truist, bringing seven decades of experience to its Atlanta office.

Ambrose Fund IV secured $400.6M for industrial, logistics, and e-commerce real estate investments, with Indiana Public Retirement System committing $100M. Charter Growth Capital Fund II closed at $111M, expanding investments in lower middle-market companies across the Great Lakes region. National Farmers Union partnered with Open Prairie to launch a $25M agriculture-focused fund, supporting early and growth-stage agribusinesses.
