Ping An Insurance Company of China announced collecting $850M in aggregate capital commitments, co-led by AlpInvest Partners and Montana Capital partners, on the final close of its third overseas private equity fund program.
In an October 18 press release, Ping An said the fund drew support from a global investor base, co-led by New York-based AlpInvest and Swiss investor Montana Capital, with existing investor GIC, a Singaporean sovereign wealth fund, also joining.
The third vintage will build on Ping An’s private equity fund series that targets buyout and growth portfolio managers in North America and Europe, and includes a co-investment mandate with its global GP network.
