ACCESS LGPS Pool hired Adams Street Partners and HarbourVest Partners to manage its £6B private equity program over five years, deploying £500M annually across primary funds, secondaries, and co-investments. CPPIB appointed former CalPERS CIO Ben Meng as head of investment portfolio management, overseeing C$699.6B (~$491.82B) in assets. Maine PERS plans to commit $300M to Pathlight Capital Evergreen Fund, increasing its alternative credit allocation towards a 10% target. Kentucky PPA committed $140M to Arctos and American Rivers funds, while allocating $383M each to JPM and T. Rowe Price for large-cap equities. Quincy Retirement System plans $62M in private markets commitments for 2025 across PE, PC, and real estate. Louisiana State Police Retirement allocated $35M to IFM Global Infrastructure Fund to maintain its 5% core infrastructure target.
LPL Financial recruited four advisors managing $475M to Carnegie Private Wealth, bringing the firm’s total assets to $1.45B. Cetera Financial added San Diego-based advisor Charlie Kraft ($140M AUM) from Wells Fargo. Raymond James hired Judy Chong ($135M AUM) in Guam from Merrill Lynch, expanding its presence in the Pacific.
Capitala Group closed a $1B small-business-focused fund, significantly increasing its investor base. NextEnergy Capital raised £733M ($948M) for the largest UK solar-focused fund, already 70% deployed. ChrysCapital completed a record $2.1B India buyout fundraise, the largest for an Indian PE firm. Bessemer Venture Partners raised $350M for its second India-focused PE fund, targeting AI, fintech, and SaaS. Aligned Climate Capital closed an $85M venture fund supporting clean energy and EV solutions. True Life Companies appointed Peak Capital Solutions to oversee distribution for its Elite Fund III, which focuses on constrained US residential markets.
EQT named Eric Liu and Bert Janssens as private capital co-heads for North America and Europe, following Per Franzen’s promotion to CEO. Trinity Capital hired Zach Taffet (BlackRock) as director of capital formation and investor relations, enhancing its private fund strategies and institutional capital management.
