2. Altera Corporation - Carve-Out / Divestiture
Intel has announced it will sell a 51% stake in its Altera business to Silver Lake in a deal valuing Altera at $8.75 billion, positioning it as the largest pure-play FPGA company. This strategic move will grant Altera operational independence under new CEO Raghib Hussain while enabling Intel to refocus on its core business and maintain a 49% stake in Altera’s AI-driven growth.
NVIDIA and Intel have announced a strategic partnership to co-develop AI infrastructure and personal computing products, with NVIDIA committing a $5 billion investment in Intel’s common stock at $23.28 per share. The collaboration underscores deepening ties between the tech giants as they align on next-generation computing platforms amid the global AI boom.
Mistral AI has raised €1.7 billion in a Series C round led by ASML, bringing its valuation to €11.7 billion as it accelerates AI innovation for strategic industries. The funding strengthens Mistral's independence and deepens its partnership with ASML to tackle complex engineering challenges across the semiconductor and AI value chains.
5. Pros Holdings Inc - Take-Private / Public-to-Private
Thoma Bravo will acquire PROS Holdings in an all-cash deal valued at approximately $1.4 billion, with shareholders receiving $23.25 per share—a 42% premium to its prior close. Once private, PROS aims to accelerate AI innovation in pricing and selling solutions with the backing of Thoma Bravo’s capital and operational expertise.
6. Vimeo Inc - Take-Private / Public-to-Private
Vimeo has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Bending Spoons in an all-cash deal valued at $1.38 billion, with shareholders receiving $7.85 per share—a 91% premium to its recent trading average. Once private, Vimeo will benefit from long-term investment and product expansion across creator and enterprise segments, as Bending Spoons deepens its commitment to innovation in video technology.
7. Cerebras Systems - Series G
Cerebras Systems has raised $1.1 billion in an oversubscribed Series G round at an $8.1 billion valuation, led by Fidelity and Atreides, to expand its AI processor and supercomputing technologies. As the fastest AI inference provider on the market, Cerebras will use the funding to boost U.S. manufacturing and data center capacity amid surging demand from top-tier partners like AWS, Meta, and the U.S. government.
8. Sana - Strategic Acquisition
Workday has signed a definitive agreement to acquire AI company Sana for approximately $1.1 billion, aiming to create a new, intelligent front door for work by unifying knowledge, learning, and action. By integrating Sana’s AI-powered tools like Sana Learn and Sana Agents, Workday will deliver personalized, proactive employee experiences and accelerate its enterprise AI platform across its 75 million-user ecosystem.
9. Statsig - Add-On / Bolt-On Acquisition
OpenAI has agreed to acquire product testing startup Statsig in a $1.1 billion all-stock deal, marking one of its largest acquisitions as it expands its Applications division. The deal brings Statsig CEO Vijaye Raji on board as OpenAI’s new CTO of Applications, alongside broader leadership changes aimed at accelerating development of products like ChatGPT and Codex.
10. Oxford Ionics - Strategic Acquisition
IonQ has completed its acquisition of UK-based quantum computing firm Oxford Ionics, bolstering its roadmap toward fault-tolerant quantum systems and accelerating global expansion. By integrating Oxford Ionics' advanced ion trap technology, IonQ aims to enhance the scalability and performance of its quantum computing and networking platforms across international markets.
