Report: Cambridge Partner Tongberg to Head Investment Strategy Office

Consultant Cambridge Associates is tapping Kristen Tongberg, a partner and CIO of the firm’s endowments and foundation practice, to head its investment strategy office, Institutional Investor reported October 10.

Tongberg will replace Noel O’Neill as head of the investment strategy office, as O’Neill leaves to join a family-office client of Cambridge. Tongberg joined Cambridge 20 years ago from MFS Investment Management, where she previously served as equity analyst.

In the new role, she will take on her predecessor’s responsibilities in managing client portfolios and the firm’s investment platform, as well as working alongside the other outsourced chief investment officers, according to Institutional Investor.
