Jacmel Partners announced the launch of Jacmel Infrastructure, an investment platform focused on targeting critical infrastructure projects, in concert with the appointment of infrastructure industry veteran Mike Salzman as operating partner.
The platform will focus on providing capital for projects in North America in the transportation, energy, social, and digital sectors and will include a variety of investment structures, including public-private partnerships. Salzman had been working as a senior advisor to Jacmel Partners during the creation of the new platform and in his new role will be responsible for helping to source, underwrite, and execute future investments.
Jacmel said the move builds on its acquisition of infrastructure engineering platform Arora, which has supported more than $23B of infrastructure projects. The firm added that it expects “to announce significant deals in the coming months.”
