A former Long-Term Capital Management (LTCM) executive, Victor Haghani, has filed to launch an ETF, joining a number of high-profile industry veterans to launch an ETF product, Bloomberg reported September 30.
RIA Elm Wealth, which Haghani founded in 2011, filed to launch Elm Market Navigator ETF, a group of funds that would invest in mutual funds and active and passive ETFs. He was among the founding group at LTCM, which included luminaries Myron Scholes, John Meriweather, and Robert Merton, and joined from Salomon Brothers.
Bloomberg noted that Haghani is the latest high-profile name to back an ETF, with other recent entrants including Research Affiliates’ Rob Arnott and economist Nouriel Roubini.
