Australian climate-tech venture capital firm Virescent Ventures has made the first close on its second climate technology investment fund (Fund II) at $100M in initial commitments, reaching half of its target capital of $200M, Energy Source & Distribution reported October 8.
Fund II attracted public and private investors such as Clean Energy Finance Corporation, whose portfolio the venture capital firm oversees. Fund I saw deployments of over $270M to 34 climate tech initiatives.
