Philadelphia Board Commits $50M to Valor Equity Partners

The Philadelphia Board of Pensions and Retirement has committed $50 million across two private equity funds managed by Valor Equity Partners.

$25 million was approved for Valor Equity Partners VI and $25 million was committed to the Valor Equity Partners Opportunity Fund I.

The commitments were approved at the April 27 board meeting.

As of April 30, 2023, the $7.6 billion pension fund has an actual and target allocation to private assets of 13% and 12% respectively.
