Illinois SURS Retains JP Morgan, Man Group for Equity Extension Mandates

The State Universities Retirement System (SURS) of Illinois has retained JP Morgan Asset Management and Man Numeric as managers for its 130/30 equity extension mandates.

The pension said it approved on December 7 JP Morgan as manager for the US portfolio and Man Numeric for non-US, pending contract negotiations. The 130/30 strategy is a new mandate under the pension’s traditional growth asset class.

As of the latest Dakota data, Illinois SURS oversees approximately $24.7B in aggregate plan assets.
