Canadian Wealth Funds Co-Invest $145M in MBK Energy Transition Fund

Four Canadian wealth funds made a $145M co-investment to private equity middle market buyout fund, MBK Partners Fund III, according to an August 22 news release.

MKB Fund III will target growth-stage businesses that are commercializing proven, innovative emission reduction technologies in clean energy, mobility, built environment, and industrials.

The Canadian Growth Fund (CGF) will commit $50M. CDPQ and Investissement Québec (IQ) will each be investing $35M. And BDC Capital will commit $25M.
