Canada’s AIMCo Promotes Two Execs as CIO Exits

Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) has named two new internal executives following the departure of the Canadian pension’s CIO, according to a September 23 press release.

Justin Lord and David Scudellari have joined the executive team, with Lord serving as senior executive managing director and global head of public markets and Scudellari holding the same titles for private assets and strategic partnerships. Both held investment leadership roles prior to their appointment. Lord has been with AIMCo since 2012 in public equities, while Scudellari joined from PSP Investments last year.

The executive move intends to temporarily replace CIO Marlene Puffer, who is stepping down after less than two years in the position.
