Los Angeles-based Blue Bear Capital, which provides venture and early-growth equity in tech-enabled energy, infrastructure, and climate companies, announced the closing of the Blue Bear Capital Fund III at $160M.
Fund III continues the model of investing in companies offering AI-powered solutions in sustainable energy production, electric grid infrastructure, transportation and logistics, energy-intensive industries, and climate industries. The fund was backed by new and returning investors, with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, McKnight Foundation, and Zoma Capital amongst the returning investors and new investors including UBS and WovenEarth Ventures.
Fund III invested in four companies so far – ChargerHelp!, Pioneer, SKOON, and Delos – with three additional investments soon to be announced.
