Tech Investor Level Ventures Plans Launch of Second Core Fund

Technology investment firm Level Ventures filed with the SEC for the launch of its second core fund, Level Ventures Core Fund II.

The firm targets venture capital managers and other players involved in science and technology.  Its portfolio includes managers such as Air Street Capital, Emergent Ventures, Heavybit, Root Ventures, and Work-Bench, as well as technology companies Enveda Biosciences, Shield AI, True Anomaly, and Quantum Source. Level Ventures is led by co-founder and managing partner Albert Azout, who also serves as a venture partner with Cota Capital.

Its first core fund, Level Ventures Core Fund, targeted $105M in 2021. As of its last amended filing on April 14, 2023, it had secured $104.1M in total commitments from 94 investors since its sale commenced two years earlier. According to the January 17 filing for Fund II, the firm expects fundraising to close in less than a year.
