StanCERA Commits $25M to Brookfield Strategic Real Estate Partners V

The Stanislaus County Employees’ Retirement Association (StanCERA) disclosed that it made a $25M commitment to the fifth vintage of Brookfield’s real estate fund, per agenda materials from its board meeting on January 28. 

In a private markets commitment notice, the pension’s investment committee said it closed the allocation to Brookfield Strategic Real Estate Partners V on December 20, 2024, which will be included in its value-add real estate portfolio. The sub-asset class accounts for a 6% target out of the overall 12.5% real estate policy target. 

As of year-end 2024, the California-based pension has allocated approximately $126M to value-add real estate, representing 4.3% of its $3B total portfolio.
