Sealy & Co. is aiming to raise $200M for its real estate fund that will primarily invest in industrial properties.
The family-owned real estate investment company began selling equity in Sealy Private Industrial Real Estate Trust on January 1 and has so far raised $200K from a single investor, according to a January 8 filing with the SEC. Sealy & Co. tapped its securities arm, Sealy Investment Securities, for the marketing of the fund in the US.
Sealy & Co. is a full-service commercial real estate platform that has been operating for more than 78 years. It has built over 300 partnerships and invested $6.5B. According to the firm’s website, its industrial property portfolio is worth $2.9B and spans over 31 million square feet across 28 markets.
