Schroders Shifts COO to CFO, Makes Two Board Appointments

Schroders plc has appointed two internal executives to its board, one of whom will shift from COO to CFO, following on from CEO succession plans it announced earlier in the month.

In a September 25 news release, Schroders said it has appointed Meagen Burnett as CFO, succeeding Richard Oldfield, who was named group CEO earlier in September and will succeed current CEO Peter Harrison on November 8. Separately, CIO Johanna Kyrklund has also been appointed to the board.

Burnett joined Schroders in 2023 as group COO and held a variety of operational, audit, risk, and IT control roles at M&G, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and KPMG prior to that. Kyrklund joined Schroders in 2007 as an investor to lead the UK multi-asset business and became group CIO in 2019.
