Santa Barbara County Employees’ Retirement System Commits $70M to Alts

The Santa Barbara County Employees’ Retirement System (SBCERS) disclosed 8 recent commitments totaling $70M.

Within private equity, $10 million was committed to Kohlberg X, $10 million was committed to KPS Special Situations Fund VI, $8.6 million was committed to Quantum Energy Partners VIII, and $1.4 million Quantum Energy Partners VIII Co-Investment Fund. 

Within real estate, $10 million was committed to Hillwood US Industrial Club VI, $10 million was committed to High Street Value Fund I and another $10 million was allocated to H.I.G. Europe Realty Partners III.  Additionally, within the real return composite, $10 million Castlelake Aviation V Stable Yield.

As of June 30, 2023, the $4 billion Retirement System has an actual and target allocation to private equity of 13.8% and 10% respectively. The actual and target to real estate was 11% and 10% respectively. The actual and target to the real return composite was 14.3% and 15% respectively.
