Sacramento County Commits $50M to Hedge Fund

The $12.8 billion Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System has disclosed a $50 million investment in the Junto Capital Partners LP.

Junto Capital Management is a New York based hedge fund manager.

The long/short equity investment was made public in meeting a monthly investment report from the February board meeting.

As of December 31, 2023, 6.4% of total assets were allocated to absolute return strategies, while the Retirement System targets 7% to the asset class.
