Report: Millennium Taps Two Hedge Fund Teams to Manage $1.8B

Izzy Englander’s Millennium Management has reportedly selected Scopia Capital Management and a pair of managers formerly with Kepos Capital to oversee $1.8B in capital, Bloomberg reported November 26, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The unnamed sources said the hedge fund hired NY-based Scopia to manage $1B of assets in a separately managed account, employing its equity long-short market neutral strategy. One of the unnamed sources said Millennium has also hired former Kepos Capital managers Chris Tuzzo and Warren Empey to oversee $800M of assets under its NorthArrow Capital brand, employing a merger arbitrage strategy.
