Oklahoma Firefighters Invests $15M in Humphreys Fund V

The Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System approved a $15M commitment to Humphreys Capital’s Humphrey Fund V at its January 17 board meeting.

Troy Brown, managing director of institutional advisory services for Mariner Institutional, confirmed the commitment in an email to Dakota. It is the pension’s first commitment to an opportunistic real estate fund since a 2021 investment of $50M in TerraCap Partners V, according to Dakota data.

Humphreys Fund V is a closed-end, opportunistic real estate fund targeting investments in properties in high-growth, non-gateway US markets. It is currently fundraising against a $200M target and $300M hard cap and intends to invest primarily in ground-up opportunistic and value-add strategies for residential and industrial properties but will consider investments in other property types such as retail and hospitality, with investments typically in the $10M to $20M range.
