The New York State Teachers’ Retirement System approved five commitments to private equity totaling $825 million, according to materials from the July 31st Committee meeting.
$150 million was allocated to Tenex Capital Mgt IV, £75 million (approximately $82M) to Phoenix 2022 Fund, $150 million was allocated to Monomoy Capital Partners V, $150 million to JFL Fund VI and $300 million to Nautic XI.
As of July 31, 2024, the $142 billion pension system allocates approximately 9.68% to private equity exposures with a target allocation of 9%.
