Maine PERS Commits $50M to Private Equity

The Maine Public Employees’ Retirement System (MainePERS) approved two allocations to private equity funds totalling $50M at its September 12 board meeting, according to recently published minutes. 

MainePERS allocated $25M to ShoreView Capital Partners V, subject to final due diligence. It also allocated $25M to Summit Partners Growth Equity Fund XII, subject to final due diligence.

As of August 2024, MainePERS has a total market value of $20B, allocating 18.1% to private equity with a policy target of 12.5%.
