Maine PERS Commits $175M; Hires Alternatives Consultants

The Maine Public Employees’ Retirement System has committed $175 million across two alternative funds.

New Investments

$50 million was allocated to private equity fund, GTCR Fund XIV. In addition, $125 million was allocated to SLR Private Corporate Lending Fund II, a private credit fund managed by SLR Capital Partners.

The commitments were approved at the November 10 board meeting. 

Consultant Hires

The board also approved hiring Albourne as private markets consultant with a focus on infrastructure, natural resources, and real estate. Cliffwater was also hired for private markets consulting services with a focus on alternative credit and private equity.
