LPL Financial added the advisors from SoundWay Financial to join its broker-dealer, RIA, and custodial platforms, aligning with the existing firm Balmville Wealth Group (BWG). SoundWay Financial, based in North Haven, Connecticut, manages approximately $180 million in assets and transitioned from Cetera Financial Group.
The team is led by senior advisors Richard Belanger, Hons Yu, and Michael Belanger. Richard Belanger has been in the industry since 2014 and previously served as a Korean linguist in the U.S. Army. Hons Yu, with a background in economics and finance from the University of Connecticut, began his career in 2006. Michael Belanger joined the industry in 2021 with Cetera. The team is supported by Operations Manager and Advisor Nicara Enright-Alves, who has been in the industry since 2016, along with support staff Luke DeRose, Thomas Wissenbach, and Anthony Persampieri. This addition enhances LPL Financial’s advisory sector presence, bringing experienced professionals and significant assets to their platform.
