Louisiana Municipal ERS Commits $25M to Private Equity; Approves Allocation Changes

The Municipal Employees Retirement System of Louisiana allocated $25 million to Bernhard Capital Partners Fund III, according to Minutes from the April 18th Board of Trustees meeting. 

Additionally, two changes were made to the asset allocation mix. The allocation to private equity was increased by 3%, bringing the policy target from 0 to 3%. While domestic equities decreased by 3%, bringing the policy target from 33% to 30%.

Exposures with policy targets that remain unchanged are Non US Equities at 13%, EM Equity at 10%, Core Bond at 20%, TIPS at 3%, High Yield Bonds at 3%, Foreign Bonds at 3%, Private Debt at 3%, and Core Real Estate at 12%.
