LA Fire & Police Commit $190M to Private Equity Funds

The Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System has disclosed four private equity commitments totaling up to $190 million, according to meeting materials from the January 19 board meeting. 

$50 million was committed to two buyout funds, STG Fund VII managed by Symphony Technology Group, and to Accel-KKR Capital Partners VII. $75 million was committed to GTCR XIV, a buyout fund managed by GTCR. Lastly, $15 million was committed to New Heritage Capital IV.

As of December 31, 2022, the $28 billion pension fund allocates approximately 18% to private equity.
