Hong Kong's CMS Names New Private Funds Partner

Investment fund lawyer Helen Wang has joined the Hong Kong office of law firm CMS as partner, she announced in a November 18 post on LinkedIn.

Wang transitioned to the law firm from Mayer Brown. She has held prior multiple positions as in-house counsel across several companies in Hong Kong, Australia, and the Cayman Islands, advising asset managers, banks, state-owned enterprises, professional trustees, and fund administrators, as well as family offices and start-ups, from the Asia Pacific region. She specializes in setting up and overseeing investment fund life cycles, including for private equity vehicles, hedge funds, and hybrid funds. 

CMS has over 1,300 partners from 84 partner offices in 47 countries. The firm said it houses more than 6,300 lawyers worldwide.
