CPP Investments Commits $1.2B to Private Equity, Private Credit Funds

The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Investment Board has disclosed allocations to two private equity and four private equity vehicles totalling $1.2B. 

The pension made private credit investments in opportunistic funds Hines Rialto Credit Partners and Antares Private Credit Fund, committing $500M and $250M, respectively. 

In private equity, CPP Investments allocated $50M to middle-market buyout strategy Kohlberg Investors X, $75M to AI-focused Radical Ventures Growth Fund I, and $200M each to CVC Capital Partners’ Growth Partners III and its co-investment fund. 

The pension said it closed its second quarter with net assets of $675.1B, a marked increase from the previous quarter’s $646.8B. Per Dakota data, CPP Investments’ allocation in private credit stood at 16% and in private equity at 15%, as of March 30.
