Chicago Metro Seeks Infra Manager for $80M Mandate

The Chicago Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Retirement Fund has issued an RFP to kick off its infrastructure manager search for a mandate of up to $80M.

The pension will accept proposals for both open-end/evergreen and closed-end funds, with a preference for the former. Closed-end strategies will be considered based on lock-up duration. The mandate will target a 3% to 5% weight out of the Chicago pension’s total portfolio, which is valued at approximately $1.4B, as of the latest Dakota data.

The deadline for submission of proposals is February 21 at 3 pm Central time. Chicago Metro will also accept written questions until January 24. Responses to the RFP will be received by consultant Marquette Associates, which is assisting the pension in the manager search process.
