Chicago Firemen’s Annuity Issues RFPs for $120M in US Fixed Income

The Chicago Firemen’s Annuity & Benefit Fund is commencing two searches for US fixed-income strategies totaling approximately $120M, according to Callan.

In RFPs posted to its website, the consultant, which will be assisting on the searches, said the pension is seeking a manager for a US “core plus” fixed income mandate of approximately $70M and a manager for a US core fixed income mandate of approximately $50M. The former represents a 5.5% target allocation of the total fund and the latter a 4% target allocation.

For both searches, questions are due by October 4, and the RFP submission deadline is November 1.
