Boston Retirement Preparing Private Equity, Hedge Fund, International Small Cap Searches

The Boston Retirement System is preparing searches for private equity and international small cap equity according to materials from the March 20th Board meeting. 

A 2024 Search Planning document was shared at the meeting that includes a private equity search to be issued in June with finalist presentations in August. The International Small Cap search is anticipated to be issued in August with presentations in October. And a hedge fund search is expected to be issued in October.

NEPC assisted with the search recommendations. 

As of January 31, 2024 the pension fund was valued at approximately $6.7 billion.
