Alabama Trust Selects Goldman for Int’l Small-Cap Mandate, Renews Callan

The Alabama Trust Fund completed its searches for a manager for its international small cap equity mandate and investment consultant, selecting Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Callan, respectively.

In recently published minutes from the pension’s board meeting on August 22, it announced the selection of Goldman as international small-cap equity manager. Allspring Global Investments and Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley (TSW) were also considered for the mandate.

Meanwhile, a recommendation to continue with Callan as the pension’s investment consultant was also approved by the board. NEPC was also considered for the position.

The pension first issued RFPs for international small-cap equity manager and investment consulting services on April 1 and June 21, respectively. Callan assisted in the manager search.
